Student wins schools round at King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA, January 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Student Al-Jazi Al-Rumaih secured first place in the schools round of the Al-Malwah competition at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025, highlighting strong student engagement with the educational initiative.

Her participation reflects the role of the schools round in introducing students to falcons and the traditions of falconry. Al-Rumaih expressed her happiness with the achievement, attributing her success to the support of her family. She said her grandfather, a professional falconer, played a key role in training and encouraging her, alongside continued support from her parents.

Supervising teacher Manal Al-Arini said the participation of students from Al-Tarbiya Al-Namouthajiya School was part of educational activities aimed at broadening students’ knowledge and giving them the opportunity to learn about falcons and their characteristics. She noted that the experience increased interest and engagement among students.

Student Taraf Manahi Al-Ajmi said taking part in the schools round was a valuable experience that helped her learn more about the world of falcons. Jaidah Al-Ammash added that the visit strengthened her understanding of falconry and allowed her to explore this heritage up close.

The King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025 is being held in Mulham, north of Riyadh, and is organized by the Saudi Falcons Club and includes the schools round as an initiative to introduce students to falcons and falconry while strengthening their connection to national heritage.
